About David B. Himelman

David concentrates his practice in all aspects of real estate, environmental law, land use and acquisition and commercial litigation.

David has handled all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. He has extensive experience in all aspects of environmental law and land development, including site remediation, insurance coverage litigation, permitting and enforcement, site acquisition, regulatory approvals, construction contracting and claims.

He has significant experience in the ISRA, Spill Act, LSRP, UST and related hazardous substance regulatory matters, as well as redevelopment of contaminated sites. David has successfully handled substantial environmental matters involving the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

David, licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, served as New Jersey State Senator for the 18th district. He has served as Township Attorney for East Brunswick, North Brunswick and  Special Counsel for Randolph Township. In addition, he has served as counsel for the Borough of Milltown Planning Board, the Franklin Township Municipal Ethics Board, the East Brunswick Sewage Authority and the Ford Avenue Redevelopment Agency.

David is a member of the New Jersey State, Pennsylvania and Middlesex County Bar Associations. He is also Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Land Use Law and Environmental Sections.  He is an active member of numerous charitable and professional organizations and serves on the Board of Directors of the East Brunswick Jewish Center. David is a graduate of Rutgers University/Eagleton Institute of Politics and Quinnipiac University School of Law.
